Life = Connection
Noah Levi Weaver
I know nothing of destiny and fate.
Whether there is some cosmic force behind my second chance or not,
I am going to make it great.
In 2022 my life almost ended suddenly when my car slammed head-on into the end of a guardrail like we were jousting. I had been going 75 MpH on the interstate before my car and I were launched into the air and flipped upside down. My little blue Prius was destroyed but my car and my seatbelt kept me alive. My chances of surviving the crash were slim to none. Even after making it to the hospital I wasn’t out of the woods yet.
My accident caused a diffuse axonal brain injury. This is a type of brain injury that 90% of people never wake from. I did. My first memory of that time is about a week after my crash. I will never walk through life the same again. If I listen to logic, it says my name should be engraved in a tombstone. Instead of that tragic future, I woke up several days later in the hospital. I was unable to walk without someone helping me balance by holding the gait belt around my waist. The doctor said it could be 13 months before I walked again on my own. I could not speak very clearly and finding words was a challenge unto itself.
But I mean on the bright side, my eyeshadow in the hospital was fire! Maybe it’s a car crash, maybe it’s Maybelline?
I had spent my life playing baseball and performing poetry. This new world I had woken up in held no promise that either of those things in my future. I wasn’t sure where I would go with my life.
A truly wonderous moment came almost directly after my TBI. I was doing speech therapy at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital where I found inspiration to write tongue twisters which in turn became Word Whizzes. The card game I created to help us all find our voices.
Before I run out of time, cherish every moment
The Reaper will find I’m a fearless opponent
Life is a bull, grab the horns, jump on it
I got one mind, one soul in this beautiful sonnet.
There are now over 200 games of Word Whizzes out in the world being played in a plethora of ways by a plethora of people. From people going to speech therapy as children to traumatic brain injury survivors, stroke survivors, performers and also just people looking for their new favorite party game! I am so honored to have the opportunity to inspire people with my words. Word Whizzes was a labor of love for both me and my partner, Arianna. We spent 500 days working on it from the time of it’s conception to the time I received the first order.
We want to say thank you to everyone who is out here enjoying Word Whizzes <3
I never thought I would be on TV — except for when I was a kid and imagined playing for the Kansas City Royals in the World Series of course. The story of my healing journey and card game, Word Whizzes were featured in multiple news articles both in print and on live TV here in Kansas City and in Nebraska! Which is still wild to me!
Pictures are captured
key moments.
They will unlock
forgotten doors.
A garden of thoughts
Can be peaceful or deadly
What you grow matters.
I took my first deep dive into my artistic side in 2016 when I wrote and performed my poem, Moment in Time, at Oh Snap! Poetry in the Lake of the Ozarks. I finally got to make a dream come true once again making lemonade from life’s lemons when after the car crash I used the time to publish my first Poetry book Garden of Thoughts. My poetic journey still continues to this day. I was a part of the 2026 Fountain City Poets slam team from Kansas City. Interested in having me as a performer or motivational speaker?
I am understanding more and more everyday that I am the one living my life. I only have a small, one hundred year blip on this earth. I am going to use it lovingly. I am going to help people. I am going to inspire harmony in the world where I can. Things matter as deeply as we choose for them to matter. I am choosing my life, and all life for that matter, to matter.
In each moment, that moment in all it’s beauty and wonder is what matters.
Photography allows us to freeze that moment in the moment. I don’t do any post color editing or photoshop. Abstaining from these attributes of photography requires that I capture the moment in the moment. This also creates an added benefit for you. The fact that I am not spending time editing the photos allows me to lower my cost.
So what do I charge?
My base rate is $400 for a day photoshoot.
If $400 would cause you financial strain, I am comfortable with us having a conversation and finding out what works for both of us. I am well aware that money is tight for a lot of people right now. Please communicate your situation with me and we will do our best to work as a team to find what works to get you the photos you desire <3
Who knows what stories will come out of it
What rhymes I’ll write when I come down a bit
Imaginative adjectives, nouns I’ll spit
Feeling gold like Midas, I got the crown to fit!
Psst…
I am also a rapper
“Just let go of your inhibition
make it your mission
to follow your
wish ‘n’ bring to fruition
the dream you dream
when you’re sittin’
and reminiscin’
on what your future
could be
if you listened
to the vision
that made
your heart
skip
a beat with
its mention…”
